Plan to divert Ganga water to Yamuna may be shelved over feasibility concerns

The plan to send Ganga water to the Yamuna might be dropped. Officials found it's not workable right now because parts of the route are too bad to carry the water. Plus, there isn't enough Ganga water in summer. They said, "UP is not willing to provide this additional water." Now, they'll focus on other projects.
