Leather exports dip 1.6% in FY26 amid US tariffs, West Asia crisis

India's leather exports dipped 1.6% in FY26, hitting $4.75 billion. This happened because of higher US tariffs and the West Asia crisis. Despite this, exports grew 2.62% in rupee terms. One expert said, "the 2.62 per cent expansion in rupee terms proves that underlying global demand remains robust."
