Are NRIs taxed on money gifted to a Hindu Undivided Family?

NRIs can gift money from their NRO accounts to a Hindu Undivided Family without tax liability. Since members count as relatives under the Income Tax Act, 2025, the HUF pays no tax on the gift. However, the member must pay tax on any income the HUF earns from these funds.
