Moroccan women once walked hours to collect water; now giant nets harvest drinking water from mountain fog
Moroccan women now get drinking water from giant nets on Mount Boutmezguida. The project started in 2006 to harvest Atlantic fog. Using CloudFisher technology, 600 square metres of mesh collect 6,300 litres of water daily. This system supplies five villages, saving many residents from walking long distances to find water.
