Orangutans 'narrowly escape' as heroic staff battle wildfires to save 60 animals from the flames.

Wildfires came within metres of a West Kalimantan orangutan centre this week. Staff fought the blaze into the night and moved 60 animals to safer enclosures. Dr Karmele Llano Sánchez said, "The teams are working round the clock but they are exhausted." Dry conditions mean more fires could start soon.
