CERC tariff order: Renewable developers get nearly 12-month grid extension for up to Rs 6,000/MW daily fee

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission now allows renewable developers a 12-month grid connectivity extension. Companies missing project deadlines can keep their access by paying a daily fee of up to Rs 6,000 per megawatt. CERC said it wanted a uniform process to manage these delays instead of handling cases separately.
