Hindustan Copper shares surge over 7% as global copper prices near record high

Hindustan Copper shares surged over 7% in intraday trade on Monday, 17 August, as global copper prices neared a record high. Prices rose nearly 16% this year, driven by heavy flows into the US. The company said it was targeting around 32,000 tonne of metal-in-concentrate production this year to support output.
