Hurricane Lala Hawaii power outages: 42,889 customers hit amid flood threat

Hurricane Lala hit Hawaii on Saturday, leaving 42,889 customers without power as heavy rain and strong winds swept the state. The National Hurricane Centre warned that "this rainfall will produce life-threatening flooding and mudslides." Hawaiian Electric said crews are working to fix lines after trees fell and damaged many poles.
