I did conduct a 'limited inquiry' before accepting resignations of six AIADMK MLAs, Speaker tells HC

Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar told the Madras High Court on August 17, 2026, that he held a limited inquiry before accepting six AIADMK MLAs' resignations. He said, "Any suggestions to the contrary by the petitioner are mischevious and stoutly denied." He confirmed he checked if they resigned voluntarily.
