SC Upholds 2002 Base Year For Sikkim Electoral Roll Revision

The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the Election Commission’s decision to fix 2002 as the base year for Sikkim’s electoral roll revision. The bench dismissed a PIL seeking 1993 as the base year. The court said, "The goal post cannot be shifted in the middle of the exercise." Case closed.
