Tamil Nadu Assembly: Group clash, not drug behind killing of Coimbatore student Amudhan, says Law Minister

Tamil Nadu Law Minister R Nirmalkumar said on August 17, 2026, that a group clash led to the killing of student Amudhan in Coimbatore. He denied that drug use played any role in the incident. The government arrested 17 people and offered compensation along with a job to his family.
